This concert will mark the centennial of his birth. His choral work, firmly anchored in Renaissance and Baroque technical aspects, focuses on variability of texture and of the spectrum, thereby transforming the approach to the voice. In this concert, besides Ligeti’s emblematic works, we will also hear Arvo Pärt’s Berlin Mass, a contemplative work with its static nature inviting devotion.
