The 5th edition of the Remix Ensemble Summer Academy is, as in previous editions, an opportunity for instrumentalists and students of conducting to work with members of Casa da Música’s prestigious resident ensemble in order to improve their technical, artistic, and performing skills. In addition to conducting master classes, led by Peter Rundel, there will be individual workshops, rehearsals, chamber music recitals, and the possibility of joining the ensemble for the Summer Academy concerts. The Academy will end another edition by bringing together the participating instrumentalists and the members of the contemporary music ensemble in a final concert, where the world premiere of a new work by the 2023 young composer in residence will be held.
