The string quartet has always been a special vehicle for musical creation. Starting with one of the best-known quartets in the history of music, a journey will be undertaken from Classicism to the present day. The lightness and playfulness of some of Mozart’s special moments contrast with Schubert’s romantic avant-gardism. The new work for this grouping by the Japanese composer Misatto Mochizuki shows the winding path this formation has traversed throughout the history of music.
