Barber arranged the famous Adagio from the String Quartet, op. 11 for choir, to create a moment of intense expressiveness. The choral arrangements by the German composer Clytus Gottwald form a point of reference. On this autumnal afternoon, we will listen to famous works by Ravel, Debussy, and Mahler, as we have never heard them before. The choir as a timbrical aggregate for late Romanticism and Modernism.
