The Ballets Russes left their mark on Modernism. The visionary entrepreneur Sergei Diaghilev showed this in many remarkable artistic works. Diaghilev Dances is a tribute to this entrepreneur. Woven together by Kenneth Hesketh, the work mixes elements from ballets performed by the Ballets Russes with original material, in a celebration of the avant-garde. Bohemia, part of present-day Czechia, has been a source of inspiration for many composers. Bohemian Revelry is a pyrotechnic suite of traditional dances from the region. The Symphony for Wind Instruments is an almost chamber-like concerto exercise for wind orchestra and An English Christmas a Christmas rhapsody that celebrates the season with carols that are well known by the public.
