Autumn and music have a relationship of their own. Various composers have created works about this season of the year. Written in 2008, Symphony No. 8 by the recently deceased David Maslanka draws on melodies from religious works and is a meditation on the present day. Eric Whitacre has composed an expressive piece about his favourite month. Virtuosity flourishes in the Autumn Concert by Arturo Márquez, which is interpreted by Pacho Flores. An enticing programme for this season of the year.
