A royal ball, a spell that ends at midnight and a shoe that is forgotten by an unknown young woman. This is one of the most popular stories of all time, which has crossed generations and is being revisited and immortalized in literature, music and painting. Prokofieff wanted to “touch people’s hearts and encourage people’s spirits”, and for this he worked with the scenographer Nikolai Volkov on Charles Perrault’s 1697 version. To direct this unforgettable score, Orquestra Sinfónica relies on the Russian conductor Anna Rakitina, one of the most exciting conductors of the new generation.
