Orquestra Sinfónica do Porto Casa da Música Enno Poppe direcção musical Carolin Widmann violino Carl Philipp Emanuel Bach Sinfonia em Ré maior, W. 183/1 Enno Poppe Schnur, para violino e orquestra (estreia em Portugal) - Carl Philipp Emanuel Bach Sinfonia em Mi bemol, W. 183/2 Friedrich Goldmann De profundis Carl Philipp Emanuel Bach’s symphonies embody the transition from Baroque to Classicism. The simplification of textures, combined with surprising harmonic paths, marked early Classicism. Friedrich Goldmann’s music is based on the European models established in the post-World War II era, combining artistic influences from both Germanies. Schnur’s Portuguese premiere features the violinist, who made a decisive contribution to the writing of the piece, in an endeavour where both composer and interpreter worked closely together.
