Romanticism, which forms the centre of this recital, was a golden period for chamber music in which new perspectives on domesticity and education contributed to the appreciation of music made at home in somewhat formal contexts. In parallel, a work is presented by the young English composer Charlotte Bray, who lives in Berlin, written when Brexit was approaching. Cristina Gómez Godoy released her debut album, Mozart, Strauss: Oboe Concertos (Warner Classics), in February 2022, which was highly acclaimed by critics and audiences alike.
