Born in Santa Maria da Feira, Joana Almeirante started her musical career very early, at the Acorde school, where she made her first “real” contact with the guitar. At the age of 18, after completing a vocational jazz guitar course at the Jobra Music Conservatory, she joined Miguel Araújo’s band, of which she is still a member today. In her own name, she released the EP Ilusão (2022), containing the singles “Mera Ilusão”, “Bem Me Quer” and “Tão Cedo Não É Amanhã”, and she is now preparing her debut album.
