Lendas da Boémia
The fascination with nature marks this concert full of seductive landscapes. It all begins with an ode to the beautiful Czech landscapes evoked by Antonín Dvořák. It is there, in the mountains of Bohemia, that the Moldau River is born, whose course we travel with Smetana on a journey from the spring, through Prague, to the waters of the Elbe. In the end we are led to the forests around Johann Strauss II's hometown: Tales from the Vienna Woods is a waltz in the form of a symphonic poem, with a communicative force so strong that it became one of the most celebrated of all time.
