Outono em Jazz welcomes the trio of legendary saxophonist from Catalonia, Liba Villavecchia, who presents his latest work, Zaidín. Released in 2022, the album features a collection of Liba's original compositions (including a tribute to film director Andréj Tarkovski), some group improvisations and a cover of Thomas Chapin. Zaidín is the new achievement of an extraordinary musician who played Ornette Coleman's “Lonely Woman” with Agustí Fernãndez, collaborated with the influential Spanish experimental group Gringos and is part of the activities of Discordian Records created by El Picto. In recent years, he developed a rich and fruitful collaboration with Vasco Trilla, a free improvisation drummer from the black metal universe. In this project, Trilla and bassist Alex Reviriego join Liba Villavecchia to dig into the possibilities of jazz.

Regarded as one of the most promising musicians in Europe, Marek Pospieszalski has brought together in Polish Composers Of The 20th Century (2022), his latest work, some of the most interesting contemporary interpreters and improvisers in Poland. The saxophonist and composer arranged 12 pieces by 12 Polish composers from the 20th century, crossing elements of jazz, improvisation, composition and contemporary sound art. According to Gonçalo Falcão, “the result is one of the most interesting jazz albums of recent times, with strange music, eccentric arrangements, exciting music.”
