WOLFGANG AMADEUS MOZART Missa em Dó menor, K. 427

The Great Mass in C minor is paralleled only by his later Requiem, displaying an enormous expressive richness and the influence of the Baroque masters. Mozart wrote it after moving to Vienna, at the time he married Constanze, who was the first soprano in the premiere, at St. Peter's Church in Salzburg. Today, the Mass continues to be played every year in that church. A program that marks the season of Orquestra Sinfónica and Coro Casa da Música, accompanied by a quartet of world-class soloists under the direction of Martin André.
