The world premiere of a new piece by Estonian composer Erki-Sven Tüür is an attraction for any concert hall. In this case, Casa da Música pairs the Outono em Jazz cycle with the Grandes Concertos Duplos cycle with a commission that places side by side two ensembles that are references in different domains: Remix Ensemble Casa da Música and Orquestra Jazz de Matosinhos. A piece that explores the differences and similarities of the ensembles and was written with them in mind. The timbral richness and humour cultivated by Wennäkoski contrast with the percussiveness of Coyote Blues and the childlike energy of Vaporised Tivoli, in a varied and exciting programme of present-day music.
