Concert Classical music Remix Ensemble
It has been 20 years dedicated to the best music of our time and the great compositions of the 20th century. The Remix Ensemble has already presented the world premieres of approximately a hundred works, and it didn’t stop there: it packed its bags and performed all over Europe, asserting itself as one of the major ensembles of contemporary music. In the concert that celebrates its 20th anniversary, the Remix will have the support of Coro Casa da Música to present another world premiere: the new Requiem by Francesco Filidei. The second part of the programme includes revolutionary music never before played in Portugal, linked to the spectral movement that flourished in the 1970s and gave primacy to the beauty of sound and the cult of timbre. L'Origine du Monde is a concert that shows little interest in the soloist's flaming virtuosity, turning the ensemble into a piano resonance box instead. This is also an opportunity to indulge in Pierre-Laurent Aimard's incredible talent, in his long-awaited return to Sala Suggia. In between we will hear Magnus Lindberg, one of the contemporary composers most performed by the main world orchestras.
