Sílvia Pérez Cruz & Farsa Circus Band

Farsa is the new record by Silvia Pérez Cruz, an artist who mixes records of her own compositions with others of recreation and interpretation, in which she creates versions of other artists. This is a record she has developed from conversations with other artistic disciplines such as theatre, film, dance, poetry, painting or animation film. Recorded between 2019 and 2020, Farsa (impossible genre) responds to Sílvia's restlessness in relation to the duality between what we show and what we really are, how the inner and intimate fragility survives in these times when the superficial is so overwhelming that what we see can be confused with what we hear. To illustrate this search and to continue exploring these concerns, she created Farsa Circus Band – a group constituted by great musicians of her generation, with whom she meets again after many years and different paths of research and love for music.
