Sergei Prokofieff Sinfonia n.º 7, em Dó sustenido maior, op. 131

The symphony orchestra was worked on by Prokofiev in a very particular way. Symphony No. 7 is a treatise on orchestration and the art of combining timbres. In attributing importance to the percussion section, an important feature of 20th century orchestral production, this is a journey through styles and atmospheres. This concert presents the symphony in a didactic way as a vehicle for understanding the orchestra.
