Orquestra Sinfónica do Porto Casa da Música Clemens Schuldt direcção musical Concerto comentado por Helena Marinho Antonín Dvořák Sinfonia n.º 9 The natural landscape of the United States of America inspired the writing of one of classical music’s most iconic works. Symphony No. 9, From the New World, was written by Dvořák when that country was under construction. Its westward expansion, the transformation of its urban centres, and industrialization deeply transformed the ecosystem of that nation. In this concert for families, we will hear American sounds filtered through the ears of a European composer.
