Richard Strauss Valsas, da ópera O Cavaleiro da Rosa

The waltz, that seductive three-part dance, the constant whirling of which led to delirium and fainting in the ballrooms of the 19th century, through the eyes of two of the greatest composers in the History of Music. In Noble and Sentimental Waltzes, Ravel pays homage to the Viennese composer Franz Schubert, a native of the capital of waltz who also portrayed the genre in piano pieces. The waltz is also the most present dance in Strauss’s famous and humorous opera, Der Rosenkavalier, forming part of the courtship games.
