Wu Tiao Ren
Formed in 2008, Wu Tiao Ren is considered one of the most interesting Chinese bands of today. They sing the lives of outsiders in China: a cyclist walking a pig, a black-market salesman, the life of a murdered young revolutionary. Under the influence of local music and typical fishermen songs (with their stories and gods), their compositions feature sounds of the city streets, bus horns, the noises of motorcycles and conversations between neighbours. This will be their second performance outside of Asia, and in their luggage they bring the dialect of haifeng and Mandarin.
