One of the great highlights of the 2023 piano cycle is the Portuguese premiere of Zee Zee, the pianist who has won prestigious international competitions in the United States, China, and Russia, and whose recent recordings for Deutsche Gramophone and Decca have been enthusiastically received by the critics. Considered the young international revelation for the piano by the BBC, the pianist will offer us a wide-ranging recital with a careful selection from her latest album. The virtuoso Franz Liszt’s travels through Switzerland and Italy shaped his pianism, which included elements of the landscapes with which he came into contact. Richard Wagner was inspired by Liszt’s work in his innovative exploration of tonality. The ethereal symbolism of Gaspard de la Nuit and the modernism of Schoenberg complete a captivating recital.
